Nicaragua's Caribbean coast

The last picture in the previous page was taken on Sunday evening. Tuesday morning I left for a trip (by land, sea and air) to the other coast of the country:
En català | Italiano

I know it's nothing out of this world   I was also inside ;)
A picture of the Bluefields harbour, at the Atlantic coast. I took it from the ship just before leaving.

The police station at Bluefields: according to the guide, it is representative of the Nicaraguan Caribbean architecture.

Envy?   And the Pacific is supposedly the other
South West Bay at Corn Island, where I was after leaving Bluefields. It was said to be the beach with quietest waters in the island.

Long Bay seen from the dock just before it.
Typical of the Caribbean, so they say   It fits in just one picture :)
South West Bay once more, just before leaving the island.

This palm-tree roofed building (here they are called ranchito) is Corn Island's airport.

And it flies   These creepy creatures are dangerous
The plane I took to fly back.

An interesting road sign in the island.

A dive?   I'm old and she's some sort of a witch
A glimpse on Little Corn Island (in the background). They say that Caribbean waters have seven types of blue.

My 30th birthday party (just back from the trip). According to a Nicaraguan tradition, they had to paint my face with the meringue on the cake.

  Mexico?
